About PDFAgent

Every day, millions of people upload contracts, payslips, medical reports and IDs to “free PDF tools” websites — and trust that whatever happens on those servers is fine. We think that trade-off is unnecessary.

Modern browsers are powerful enough to do the work themselves. PDFAgent's 38 tools — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing, OCR, encryption — run entirely on your device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. There is no upload button because there is no upload.

Built on open source

PDFAgent stands on excellent open-source engines: PDF.js (Mozilla's PDF renderer, the one inside Firefox), pdf-lib for document manipulation, Tesseract for OCR and mammoth for Word conversion.
