Split a PDF
Cut one PDF into several. Define page ranges like “1-3, 4-10” to create one file per range, or split every page into its own PDF. Multiple outputs download together as a ZIP.
How to use the Split PDF tool
Select or drag the PDF you want to split.
Choose “every page” or type page ranges (e.g. 1-3, 4-10).
Click “Split PDF” and download the resulting files.
Your files stay on your device
This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. There is no upload step and no server processing — open your network panel and check: zero document data is transmitted. It even keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
Frequently asked questions
How do I split a PDF into individual pages?
Choose the “Every page → separate PDF” mode. Each page of your document becomes its own PDF file, and everything downloads together in one ZIP.
Can I extract just a few pages instead of splitting everything?
Yes — type a single range like “5-9” to get one PDF with only those pages. For picking scattered pages there is also the dedicated Extract pages tool.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as-is into the new files, with no re-compression or rasterization.
Is it safe to use this tool with confidential documents?
Yes — and verifiably so. PDFAgent has no upload step: your file is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser and never leaves your device. You can open your browser’s network panel (or even go offline after loading the page) and confirm that no document data is transmitted.
