The service

PDFAgent (pdfagent.online) provides free PDF utilities that run locally in your web browser. By using the site you accept these terms.

Acceptable use

Use the tools only on documents you own or are authorized to process. The Unlock tool is for removing protection from your own files with passwords you legitimately know — not for accessing other people's documents.

No warranty

The tools are provided “as is”, free of charge, without warranty of any kind. Always keep your original files: while the tools never modify your originals (they generate new files), we cannot guarantee that every output is fit for a particular purpose. Conversion tools (Word, OCR) are honest approximations and may not reproduce complex layouts.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFAgent is not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service. Since processing happens on your device with your files never leaving it, data-loss risk from our side is structurally limited to the page not working.

Electronic signatures

The Sign PDF tool adds a visible signature image (a “simple electronic signature”). It does not create certificate-based qualified signatures. Whether a simple signature is sufficient for a given document depends on your jurisdiction and use case.

Intellectual property

The site design, texts and code are property of PDFAgent. The underlying open-source libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, Tesseract, mammoth) belong to their respective authors under their licenses.
