Frequently asked questions
Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?
Yes — set “Start at” to any number. Useful when the document is part of a larger volume or you skip the cover.
Will the numbers overlap my content?
Numbers are placed in the page margin area (about 1 cm from the edge). On unusually full pages they could touch content — preview the result and switch corner if needed.
Does “Page X of Y” update Y automatically?
Yes, Y is the real total page count of the document at the moment of stamping.
Is it safe to use this tool with confidential documents?
Yes — and verifiably so. PDFAgent has no upload step: your file is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser and never leaves your device. You can open your browser’s network panel (or even go offline after loading the page) and confirm that no document data is transmitted.
