Create a signature (transparent PNG)

Need your signature as an image? Draw it on the pad — with a mouse, trackpad, finger or stylus — or type your name and pick a handwriting style. Choose the ink colour and stroke, then download a PNG with a transparent background that drops cleanly onto Word documents, email signatures, forms and PDFs (use it directly in our Sign PDF tool). Everything stays on your device.

Draw with your mouse, finger or stylus — or type your name in a handwriting font. The PNG has a transparent background, ready to paste into documents, email signatures or the Sign PDF tool. Nothing is uploaded.

This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. There is no upload step and no server processing — open your network panel and check: zero document data is transmitted. It even keeps working offline once the page has loaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is a drawn signature legally valid?

In most countries an image of your signature is fine for everyday documents (contracts between parties, forms, letters). For regulated cases that require a qualified electronic signature, use a certified provider — this tool covers the far more common “I just need my signature in the document” need.

Why transparent PNG?

A transparent background lets the signature sit on top of any document without a white box around it — it looks like it was signed on paper. Choose the JPG version only if a form refuses PNG.

Can I use it to sign a PDF?

Yes — our Sign PDF tool has the same pad built in and places the signature exactly where you click on the page. Use this page when you need the image file itself.

Is it safe to use this tool with confidential documents?

Yes — and verifiably so. PDFAgent has no upload step: your file is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser and never leaves your device. You can open your browser’s network panel (or even go offline after loading the page) and confirm that no document data is transmitted.
