Convert Word to PDF
Converts .docx files to a clean PDF with real, selectable text — not a screenshot. Headings, paragraphs, lists, bold/italic and embedded images are typeset onto A4 pages. Complex layouts (columns, text boxes, headers/footers) are simplified; for pixel-perfect fidelity of heavy designs, exporting from Word itself is still the gold standard.
How to use the Word to PDF tool
Select or drag your .docx file.
Click “Convert to PDF”.
Download the converted document.
Your files stay on your device
This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. There is no upload step and no server processing — open your network panel and check: zero document data is transmitted. It even keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
Frequently asked questions
Why convert in the browser instead of uploading?
Contracts, CVs and reports are sensitive. Server-based converters receive a copy of your document; PDFAgent converts it locally so no copy ever exists outside your device.
What formatting is preserved?
Paragraphs, heading levels, bullet and numbered lists, bold, italic and embedded images. Advanced layout — multiple columns, text boxes, footnotes, headers/footers — is flattened into a simple flow.
Does it work with .doc (old Word format)?
Only .docx is supported. In Word or LibreOffice, save your .doc as .docx first (File → Save As), then convert.
Is it safe to use this tool with confidential documents?
Yes — and verifiably so. PDFAgent has no upload step: your file is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser and never leaves your device. You can open your browser’s network panel (or even go offline after loading the page) and confirm that no document data is transmitted.
